Come Experience the THRILL of CAMP this summer!

Congratulations! You are a Corporate Sponsorship Recipient

The Upper Canada Chorus is pleased to accept a limited number of registrants to Summer Camp this season through our Corporate Sponsorship program. UCC is the benefactor of a corporate donation specifically targeted to encourage young people to attend camp.

Our camps integrate arts education with a profound respect for the species, spaces and people all around us. We have partnered with a like-minded corporation who has agreed to cover 50% of the tuition cost for a limited number of campers, according the criteria listed.

Sponsorship recipients must fulfill the following criteria:

  • be ‘first-time’ UCC campers (having never attended UCC camps before)

  • be referred directly by UCC staff, or their School Teacher

  • reside and attend school within York Region

  • commit to perform with campers at a retirement residence on the final day of camp

Adventure Camp: July 13-17

“This is a story of how a Baggins had an adventure, and found himself doing and saying things altogether unexpected” — J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit

There is a little adventure in all of us, and what better way to bring it out than to immerse ourselves in Tolkien’s “Middle Earth”? This camp week includes an excursion to The Stratford Festival’s “The Hobbit”.  J.R.R. Tolkien’s famous Hobbit adventure will provide the creative context for many of our activities throughout our Adventure Camp week. We encourage all campers to read The Hobbit prior to camp (or listen to the audio book). We will post resources for registered campers in a lead-up to camp, to help make this adventure a truly transformational experience!

  • Masterclasses, performances and professional instruction

  • Admission and transportation to Stratford Festival’s “The Hobbit”

  • All lunches & snacks

  • UCC Adventure Camp commemorative performance shirt

  • Wide games & outdoor fun!

  • Drop-off between 8:30-9:00AM; pick-up between 4:00-4:30PM (email admin@uppercanadachorus.com for early drop-off/late pick-up details)

  • 3:1 Camper to Counselor ratio

Nature Camp: Aug 10-14

“There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing about by a river.” — Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows

Come along with young, impressionable Mole as he heads to the riverbank and meets the resourceful Rat, the grumpy Badger and the irrepressible Mr Toad. Our camp week will take inspiration from the much-loved 1908 children’s novel, exploring themes of friendship, nature, loyalty and the joy of a little mischief. This camp week includes an excursion to The Shaw Festival where we will attend “The Wind in the Willows”. We encourage all campers to read The Wind in the Willows prior to camp (or listen to the audio book). We will post resources for registered campers in a lead-up to camp, to help prepare for the wonders that lie ahead!
