Welcome to Storytime for the week of May 27
Welcome to ‘Storytime’ for Wednesday May 27. I was so excited to read this week’s book selection, The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore, by William Joyce. We have included a link to the short film below because we highly recommend it!!!
Weekly Challenge: In the words of Mr. Morris Lessmore, “Everyone’s story matters.” and “Every story has its upsets.” This week your challenge is to write your own short story, a journal entry about the current circumstance of COVID-19 that we are all living through. This is an unprecedented event in the history of the modern world as we know it and I want you to take some time to outline your thoughts, hopes, dreams, disappointments, etc… If you write it in a journal then paperclip the pages together and you can come back sometime (maybe even years later) and see exactly how you were feeling and what you have experienced. Or, perhaps write it on a sheet of paper and seal it up in an envelope. Make sure to include positive recollections as well! Simply email me at michelle.rawlins@uppercanadachorus.com to let me know you completed the weekly challenge and I will enter you into the draw which will take place before our next story time.
Enjoy the short film!!!
