Welcome to Storytime for the week of May 20

Welcome to ‘Storytime’ for Wednesday May 20. Giraffes Can’t Dance, by Giles Andreae. We all feel so bad for Gerald (the giraffe) who walks away from the jungle dance feeling dejected and incompetent. When my kids were toddlers they would actually have tears in their eyes at this part. Thanks to the advice of a wise cricket who helps Gerald on his journey, Gerald makes an important discovery for his personal growth and the books ends with this following declaration:

“We all can dance,” he said, “when we find music that we love”. 

Weekly Challenge: Your challenge is simple this week! We thought it would be fun to make a UCC Summer Playlist … so … we need your recommendations!!! The idea is to make a huge list and include the names of everyone who submits a selection.
