Join us this spring for “Magic of Disney” – an immersive choral experience for select students, with The Upper Canada Chorus, Elena Juatco and Matthew Joseph. Vancouver born Film, TV and Broadway star Elena Juatco (‘Ruth’ in Schitt’s Creek, ‘Dr Scarlet McWhinne’ in Open Heart, ‘Eponine’ in Les Miserables), is a lover of all things Disney. From Pocahontas to Jasmine and Mary Poppins, Elena will capture our hearts in ways only a true Disney princess can. A Stratford veteran, Matthew Joseph has performed leading roles across Canada, and is excited to help transport us to the magical worlds of Mary Poppins and the Lion King.

REHEARSALS

If you received a Teacher’s Selection invitation, please note the rehearsal schedule and registration deadline has changed from what you have posted on your invitation. The schedule below is correct.

Location: Upper Canada Chorus historic Heintzman House studios and rehearsal hall, 135 Bay Thorn Drive, Thornhill. Participants have the option of Saturday May 18 or Tuesday May 21 for the live rehearsal. You may do both if you wish, but only one is mandatory. For the Zoom rehearsal, we encourage you to do this live, but we will also post a copy of the video online for home practice.

Zoom Rehearsal: Tues May 28 | 6:30-7:30PM (a video will be posted for review)

Performers to arrive at 6:00PM on Saturday June 1. Please eat a good dinner prior to arrival. Snacks and water will be available.

Tickets will be available through Eventbrite. Participants do not require tickets but please encourage family and friends to purchase their tickets to the show. A link will be provided upon completion of registration.
