Calling All Dawns Resources
Join us on a musical odyssey that spans languages, cultures, and centuries! Calling All Dawns is a Grammy Award–winning song cycle by acclaimed composer Christopher Tin. Blending classical tradition with world music influences, this extraordinary work is performed in 12 languages—ranging from ancient Sanskrit to Chinese, Latin, Swahili and more—providing a powerful reflection on the shared human experience of night, dawn, and day.
The choral score for each piece is included below, along with the original recording. We have also recorded piano accompaniment tracks for you to use at home, and posted them below the original audio for each piece. Hit play on the original track (Christopher Tin), and follow along with your score. When you are comfortable following the score, play the accompaniment track (Upper Canada Chorus), open the PDF for the related piece, and sing along.
We will highlight one or two pieces every week for Home Practice, but always refer back to this page, which will contain all of our home resources for Calling All Dawns.
