In order to earn your Christmas pin for 2025, you must select and attend either the “Community Carol Sing” on Sun Dec 7, or “Buble Christmas” on Wed Dec 10, and 1 other event on the Be the Gift calendar below.

Sun, Nov 30: Filming of “Believe” – Day 1

Details (what to wear, where to go, arrival time, etc.) will be emailed directly to those who have signed up for this experience.

Sun, Dec 7: Performance – Markham Family Christmas

A seasonal community favourite. Town dignitaries will be present, and there will even be a special appearance by Santa himself. Family photos with Santa in the Heintzman House are free to all. Participants must have a UCC hat/scarf, and be available for a 3PM rehearsal. The event begins at 5PM, and ends at 7PM. There is a $30 participatory fee, which includes dinner, carol book & commemorative pin. Tickets are not required for parents and guests to attend this event.

Wed, Dec 10: Performance – Feeling Buble Christmas

UCC is guest performing at Jay Davis’ Feeling Buble Christmas concert in Lindsay. The Performance Ensemble and any other available UCC choristers are performing in black pants, casual UCC tops, and UCC hats & scarves. Our sound check begins at 5:30PM in the charming Lindsay Flato Academy Theatre. There is a $30 participatory fee, which includes dinner and commemorative pin. Please note: there is no regular scheduled rehearsal at the Heintzman House on this night.

Sat, Dec 13: Performance – Sunrise Richmond Hill

Help us bring a little Christmas cheer to the residents at Sunrise (9800 Yonge St., Richmond Hill L4C 0P5). We will be sharing some carols, with lots of solo opportunities and a chance to share your gifts with many who can’t get out this Christmas season. 12:15PM rehearsal at the Heitnzman House, followed by a 2PM performance at Sunrise. Attire is black pants or blue jeans with the casual UCC top and UCC hats & scarves.

Tue, Dec 16: Performance – Hillcrest Mall

In support of The Salvation Army’s annual kettle drive, we will be singing again this year by Santa’s display in the heart of Hillcrest Mall. Participants can sign up for time slot: 6:00-7:00PM or 7:00-8:00PM. Please arrive 10 mins prior to your selected time. There will be lots of solo opportunities. Attire is black pants, casual UCC top and UCC hats & scarves.

Wed, Dec 17: Final Rehearsal of 2025

Our final rehearsal for the season is a Festive Special! The head choristers have some fun activities planned, and we will once again be celebrating together with our annual “re-gift exchange” – a chorister favourite.

Sat, Dec 20: Filming of “Believe” – Day 2

Our 2nd day of filming for this video will occur at the Rawlins family home, with shots planned both inside and out, followed by a group dinner and social time. Further details will be emailed out to all registered participants.

Sun, Dec 21: Performance – RH Retirement Residence

Help us bring a little Christmas cheer to our friends at Richmond Hill Retirement Residence (70 Bernard Ave., Richmond Hill L4C 0W7). Lots of solo opportunities again, and a final chance to share your gifts with many who can’t get out this Christmas season. 12:15 rehearsal at the Heintzman House, followed by a 2PM performance. Attire is black pants or blue jeans with the casual UCC top and UCC hats & scarves.

Fees: participant dinner, commemorative pin & carol book

If you require the UCC Hat/Scarf, they are available for $42 each plus HST. The UCC embroidered hat/scarf combo is $95 ($42+$42+HST), and can be eTransferred to admin@uppercanadachorus.com. We are supplying dinner for participants of “Feeling Buble Christmas” and/or “Markham Family Christmas at the Heintzman House”. Dinner for each event is available for $30, and will include your commemorative pin and carol book. Please bring cash to rehearsal, or eTransfer admin@uppercanadachorus.com. Note please, if you are attending both “Buble Christmas” and “Markham Family Christmas” please remit $50.
